The street I was on was a quiet residential/shopping one. Speed limit here is 40km/h I think, on such a street – the equivalent of our 30mph.

Mind, some rules are different. If you’re on a main road, turning right into a side street, you have right of way over oncoming traffic turning left into the same street, for instance.

Problem is that about 1 person in 2 seems to know this. Results in a few beeps and crunches.

If you are in one of these streets, you must also have parking lights on whilst you are parked for greater visibility.
