A very nice place, this one. Friendly staff with a good knowledge of the surroundings and a spacious room. The communal room had four PCs for free internet access, as well as free wireless and a decent telly for watching DVDs on.
Our en-suite was very nice. Sparkly clean with plenty of room to move around while showering. Not much of a view from the window, though – just across to the other side of the building! However, that’s not why we were there.
It’s in a good location, being a short walk from the main train station and five minutes to the edge of the historical centre. There are pubs a-plenty nearby and the red light district is around the back of the aforementioned station. Apparently.
My only quibble was that the communal areas and reception are closed for a couple of hours in the middle of the day for cleaning. I’m not sure about access to the rest of the hostel during this time, either. This could be awkward if you need to head back for anything.
