The times they are a-changing

I’ve spent quite a few hours over the last week or so moving this blog from Blogger to WordPress. Things have gone pretty much OK, allowing for much experimentation and I am now in the process of shutting down Blogger and moving things over.

Inevitably, there will be some teething problems. The main one is likely to be the lag between me initiating the shift and various servers catching up! Please do bear with me as I try to get everything in line. The page may vanish, formatting might go all to whack and Atom and RSS feeds fail briefly, but I aim to make the changes all for the better.

I am aware of a couple of layout and formatting issues (in the main, the current list of accommodation pages is messy, and there’s no indentation in lists), but if you spot anything else untoward then please leave a comment! I’ll re-enable the contact pages as well once I’ve reformatted them to suit the new layout.

Thank you! Normal service will resume once I decide on what “normal” actually is.

Brief apology

A day or three ago I got an email from Prashant who looked after Hans and I in Bangalore in January. I think he was worried about me as he’d not heard from me in a while!

In honesty things have just been hectic and I know I’ve been lax in my contact with many of you and I apologise to you all! Sometimes my mailbox just gets too heavy and I let things drop to the bottom, other times I’m just away from the internet for too long. By the time I catch up with my tasks, I don’t have time to mail people.

So – sorry! I’m just rubbish at starting e-conversations! It’s great to know that so many of you take the time to read what I write and anyone who drops me a line (unless you’re trying to sell me pills to make my willy bigger or something) will get a reply, I promise!

Even the ones who didn’t go out of their way to be a superb host and ambassador for his country, such as Prash. Thanks again, fella 🙂

Flights booked

Confirmed destinations now are:

Adelaide on the 28th of March followed by a 2-day Kangaroo Island trip
Perth on April 3rd
Darwin on April 13th
Singapore on April 19th

Everything after these dates on the list to the right is pure conjecture with the exception of Brussels and Graspop. I’m trying to juggle things around as I may be hitting the UK at the start of June for the Download Festival.

As an aside, B&A’s neighbour (Col, I think, or Carl) just popped round with a plate of fresh-baked apple tarts and a bottle of Cascade. Star!
